You're aware that you took the easy way out

So I guess there's no point in re-iterating that. I think the presentation was really good. The music fit the whole neo-mystic feel, the animation was solid and it was good overall. Needs a little anatomy work on some parts.
But you really didn't have to sell out like that and use other people's characters, no offense, but that's not testing your potential as a creator, it's just an easy way out. Requires no character molding and gets attention with hardly any work, plus familiarity points. Maybe you'll get the hint eventually, your stuff's good, but that really took it down a notch because with those stolen characters, I know nothing about you (I should be able to in your characters), and there's no piece of your soul in them.

Grey-Matter responds:

I like that. You came at me correct. So, I can talk to you like a fellow animator. Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I really like your work too and in the short time I have been here on Newgrounds, you're one of the people who I have noticed have advance so quickly, besides Chakra-X. You're probably right about the effort part with the designing of the characters. See, the reason why I under went this project is because I feel you're going to take someone's character and use it in a story, at least "try" to tell a story with them and not reduced it to a simple gay or fart joke. Think of it like Marvel's story "Civil War" for example. All of those characters are owned by Marvel.Inc, but it was Mark Millar's writing that brought that brilliant story to life. True, I'm not get paid to do it, but just being able express my thoughts for these characters and animate something for myself, plus learning more about how to animate,is pay enough. In the industry, you don't get a lot of opportunity to express a cool idea, because you're hard at work busy bring someone else's dream to life. Besides, this is just another outlet for me.As artists, you know we all wear different hats. My hat for this project is anime. I'm currently working both this series and my original series "The Hive", and thanks to the advancements I learned while undergoing this project, I have learned much to improve both. Again, thanks for the advice and good luck to you on your projects. I looking forward to seeing your stuff.

Later.

Nice

The character drawings were good, but there was a lot of standing around and tweening. Maybe a little more character animation to make it interesting at some parts. The sound was very clear, but the talking was a bit slow at parts. Otherwise, nice job, very slick. It'll do very well.

You knew you'd get front page

Quit acting like you're surprised, it's got a fad joke and what little is animated is fairly well-done. It looks like you're an okay animator, and I have no doubt that you could make something sick. But I gave you a 6, because you animated about 10 seconds, then just had a slideshow with the same looping symbol playing on the side of the screen on each picture. No offense I hope, just seems like a quick fix. And no, I don't find that 9000 joke funny.

Now This is what I come to Newgrounds for

You did a sick job on this, man! The character designs were good, the animation was eerily clean and smooth, the sound was well mixed, and you mixed tweening and frame-by-frame so seemlessly, one of my eyes still thinks you didn't use any tweening at all. Keep up the good work man! You've inspired me.

Toonimated responds:

thnx! but I think I need to tween more stuff, it is just insane to frame by frame so much, drains so much time!

Dang good story

The story was great, it kept my attention through the flash, because I was honestly about to turn it off until Zakk Wylde threw the water bottle. There were a few twists that made the flash entertaining and unpredictable. A little criticism, I'd just practice making my drawings a bit more appealing. For the most part, they looked like the were pretty "thrown together", and then there was so many traced bitmaps it wasn't even funny. There's potential here, just needs some improvements as far as artistic value, but the sound, and the story you created was excellent.

That was sick

Some of the best fight choreography I've ever seen. Shame it was sticks, but just...wow... I would pay you to choreograph fights for my flashes, that would be a 4.50 if it had real fleshed out characters. Keep up that good work, you've inspired me.

Well done! But wasn't hilarious.

I like the presentation, definately well done, good animation and tweening was solidly placed. And kudos to anyone who can make a cartoon series with good continuity. I just didn't find it funny, which is strange because I love violent humor. You're a beast of an artist, and I think Alex Seryoua was a work of art, I guess I just wasn't feeling this one. Didn't find it funny, but well done. I'd rather see you pursue your new series.

This one grew on me

Normally I'm against the video game parody thing, but this one had good anatomy, animation and was funny. It was kind of short, but was entertaining foreal, I still think you could make a sweet original work if you decided to. But if you wanna do videogames, that's you, I know you're getting paid for it. Keep up the good work, do all your flashes like this! lol
