Dang good art work, that's for sure

The character drawings were very good, unfortunately, there was a SERIOUS lack of frame-by-frame animation. It was beautiful, but incredibly stiff. Work on that, and you'll be fine. Keep up the good work

Kero-the-boy-killer responds:

-nod- i agree, I'll have to work on that ^^ thank you

That was cold

I see there's 2 Sonic RPGs that are kinda in a rivalry, I say this one puts you on top of BlackDevilX right now. He's coming out with a new one soon too. But I much prefer this, it had a bit of cinematic value too. The voice acting wasn't very...convincing...for beings who are supposed to be powerful, but no worries, I know it's the game that matters. I like the animations, but what made me mad is that you took the Quality controls off and the effects are flash filters, bad choice, that made the animations really slow for people with normal comps. I'm not one for turn-based RPGs (not since FFX-2) but it was cool to look at regardless, and the option/battle system was hella proffessional. Keep up the good work, man!

MidNightMaren responds:

Actually it was never my intention that rivalry you guys talk so much. Anyway, I'm just glad you like mine that much!
I think the voice acting is perfect, but thats your opinion and I respect it!
The menus really gave me some work, but I think I did a really good job :)
Thanks, I really enjoyed this comment!

And You Seriously Said on AIM "It might be bad"

lol yea, I know you were joking. This is amazing, man! The character designs, the drawings, the animation, the EVERYTHING. I don't see any flaws at all. You used photoshop for all the backgrounds, just like you told me, and it came out amazing. Everything had this glow to it, and there was a perfect balance of detail so that no one quality was swallowed up. The music truly fit the mood too. Perfect 10, A+.
You make me want to use anime style again.

SpikeVallentine responds:

HAHAHA! AWW! Holly cow, after reading your recent journals. Hearing this "
You make me want to use anime style again." made me smile.

You should man, everything is all about story, so go ahead do anime, just find the right story.
Okay....Lemmie hear you say this "
You make me want to use anime style again." ten times more after you watch it.

Aaaww shit, he busted out the 'chans' and 'kuns'

Not bad, it doesn't look horrible, though it could use major work, such as voice acting and more stylized character drawings. They for some reason look like Madness characters with anime features to me for some reason.
It looks like you have an idea of what you're doing with the way things were organized, but I would say ease up on the whole Japanese culture thing...Unless you're Japanese, because I've had Japanese friends who I hadn't heard say 'chan', 'san' or 'kun' in the whole time I knew them as much as you have in this flash and author comments. It seems...Incredibly unrealistic for some reason. Maybe do something involving your own culture so it doesn't seem so forced out? Not trying to dicourage you by any stretch of the imagination, just needs major improvements. Good luck with the project, you're getting there!

Yoruichi responds:

cheers for the advise, I was going more towards anime culture than japanese....although some say there aint a difference, you pointed it out with my over-use of chans ^^ I'm also planning japanese voice-overs with the speech *bubbles* acting as subs so the chans will be acceptable. great review and thanks for your criticism, it will help a lot in my coming publishings.

Truly Entertaining

Great job man! I like the character style and the whole "red" thing, the art direction is really good and fits the mood. Even the lil' themesong. However, I just wonder if with you (or at least, from what it looks like) turning this into a series, I wonder if some of the recycled drawings like mastermind at his desk might have that "Foamy" effect and people will get tired of it. Maybe you could try expanding some of the situations even more beyond Mastermind's desk just for something fresh (Which you did a little bit here). I dunno, just a thought, people already love it, including me, so if you have to keep it like that to keep the appeal, do it to it.
Keep it up!

The-Swain responds:

I hate recycling artwork, and the only way I can forgive myself is if I include plenty of new artwork to compliment it. The Mastermind character doesn't really leave his desk (why else have an army of minions to do everything for you then?) so it's hard not to reuse a lot of the content, but I have a plan for the next episode that will free me up from that restriction. There won't be lots of camera angles and different scenes, but at least it will all be new art. :D

Ahh well, glad you liked it though!

Dammit kid, you're makin' me feel guilty!

Forewarning: I started out with something just like this and let me warn you now to stop, please for your own sake! Not stop animating, but put this storyline down, it's cliche'd, overused and people will NOT just watch it just because it's there. I know, because it's a lot like my first flashes.

Also, you're coming out way too fast, I think you need a lot of practice. You sorta shot yourself in the foot, before you submit a flash, ask yourself if it's something that you'd actually watch yourself. There should NEVER be a white background. Just some advice, no hard feelings I hope, but I think you need a lot more practice. I dont want bad reviews to discourage you and make you want to stop. Crawl before you walk, you need to learn to draw in flash before you can animate. Good luck in the future.

ZayanuZaroc responds:

thanks for the tips and the next episode will be alot better!
Also wow I didn't know someone had made the nearly exactly same thing...
even your demons was quite the same.
I saw your Devil slayer series and that was very cool!

ps. Big mack

That was the shit...Great collab!

I loved that, and no I'm not a Nintendo fan. The animation on most of them was really good, and I could tell exactly who animated most of them too. My favorite was undeniably the one when Pikachu stole Ash's hat, that shit made me cry laughin'. Sweet job, yall!

Kirbopher responds:

Glad you enjoyed it!

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

That was cold man! I like that a lot, and honestly, I can't really think of any complaints. The drawings were clean, the voice acting was realistic and clear (though I don't speak Russian, it sounded real lol), and I love how you used the camera movements for those semi-action scenes. Nothing was wasted here. There could have been more fBf, but you killed regardless. The music also fit really well, it was at a good volume to hear the voices, and most of all, that dude was eerily like me.
Be proud of it, this is the type of thing I come to NG to see, and it's a rare find. The thing that pisses me off is that it's below a 4.00.

Nightwayfarer responds:

Thanks a lot, I apreciate it very much)

Not bad man! In fact, it's refreshing.

I've been looking for a serious original flash action series to watch since Xin ended and and I'm glad to see you going in that direction, that's wassup. The fights are fast-paced, you took time to actually animate (unlike a lot of people on here including my past creations, guilty). The acting was good, though the sound quality made it a bit hard to enjoy at times... And it was good overall, but it does have it's issues.
I can appreciate people using the paintbrush, but honestly, the line work's a bit sloppy and unappealing and some parts, and the movie has some pretty noticeable anatomy issues. Also, the file quality of the voices is pretty annoying (this is not reflecting from you, I'd suggest downloading Audactiy though). Otherwise, it's pretty sweet. The story's good, but doesn't stand out a lot. I guess there's plenty more plot twists to come though. I'm enjoying it so far, keep up the good work man. I'd just clean up the drawings a bit.

RiverJordan responds:

Hmmm, i thought the audio quality was ok? but thanks for the input. I also DO use audacity, however i dont have any lines in the movie, so it was probobly the other people's faults.. i thought they used audacity too however, Kristen (elaine) did for sure. Also, the quality was exported at 48 kb/s or ... im not sure what it is... but i will definetly make it higher for the next time then. And i realize i cant draw hands... hehe, i will work on it though! I'll put your info to use.

Not bad :)

It was entertaining, and I was able to watch the whole thing. It definately had it's funny at points, although the art wasn't incredibly impressive. Nice job though.

TommyVF responds:

Thank you... the art? Oh, we focused more at the animation, full person frame by frame... :)
