[An Uphill Struggle]

Good job

It was straight, the character drawings were clean, it had okay pacing and a good length. It also had some pretty hilarious parts, like when the racoon guy set the eagle on fire.
A few things though, like for the drawings to have been so simplistic, there should have been a lot less tweening and a lot more frame by frame. (Try looking at some of Cerberusuille's stuff, I think you might be very inspired by it) and colored pencil backgrounds in flash is a no-no too, simply because there is a horrible transition between clean coloring of flash and patchy coloring of graphite (Or whatever they're made from). Also, had it's umm kinda homo parts i dunno if you intended that or not but whatever. Keep working, you're onto something.

Thanks for your review, it made an interesting read. I've heard of Cerberus' stuff and am a casual fan of it, he's incredibly skilled. I've a looong way to go if I am to compete with his skill though.

In response to your critique on the pencil backgrounds, I'm going to throw that comment out - many of the best animations in the 1980s and so on were made using seperate backgrounds and I see no reason why I should not do the same. It creates a vibe of uniqueness in a good way I'd say.

As for certain "homo" parts, call it sissy if you will but don't call it gay.

Will watch the series

First off, I LOVE the themesong that made the flash for me lol. The drawings were solid and the dialogue was kinda funny, only not much happened. I can't help but feel like it was missing something, but it's a good first episode, but maybe some more substance would help, it may just be the length, who knows. Good work though. I'll be watching the series.

Beautiful but stiff...

I'll start off by saying I really like the designs, and color choices. There was good art direction, and the music fit well too. I see the purpose. Problem is, it didn't move much, and when it did move it was pretty stiff, also the still shots dragged on for a VERY long time. Work on making the animation a bit smoother and timing, and you'd be a candidate for back-to-back 4.0+'s. Peace.

By the time you do part 2, you'll lose the effect

Not bad, seen worse, seen better. Didn't make me laugh, but I can see it being funny to people. What ruined it for me was probably that it ended so abruptly. Problem is, by the time you've animated part 2, I won't care anymore. Another day's work would have made this a lot better, you probably don't want to get hit with impatience, that's a horrible habit with flash. You're reading a review by the king of animator impatience. Good luck though.

People are going to hate me for this....

Don't get me wrong, I like the series, but what's a nice way of saying that this one doesn't measure up to the others...? For one, it was put out so much faster than the first 3 so there was more tweening and less frame-by-frame than you normally use, and it looked like you were trying to get "dark" with it when it's kind of hard to take smiling bunnies and kitties with rosie cheeks and establish some sort of serious racial hate vs. love thing. Superfans of the series will love it, and it'll be #1 on the site for it's name, but I think the first 3 made more sense. Clean drawings, good song choice, great idea, but I would have waited for another year to see one like the first or second one.

You lost me when the forest broke apart

I get the joke, and I actually kind of enjoyed half of this flash until the forest turned to fuzz. You dragged out the ending so much, it literally wasn't even funny. If it had happened quicker or something, I dunno, maybe it would have turned out better, but the ending just ruined it. Sorry.

[Easy Way Out]

DAMN GOOD STORY. Yeah, a cleanup team'd be nice.

I loved the story here, the atmosphere, the colors the music, everything flowed perfectly. I like the subtle moral, and it can be percieved in many ways. Unfortunately, the art on a lot of parts was very sloppy, and that's no refection on your artistic abilities, probably just the time frame. I can see you scrambling to get it finished by Clock Day. But honestly, I think the movie would have done just as well if not better, if you had done human characters instead of clocks and gave it another week of touch-up. The clocks didn't ruin the great storytelling as much as I would have thought, but still would have much preferred people.

Would it have been so hard to just animate this?

The art and presentation were VERY GOOD. But this isn't a flash comic or a cartoon, its an irritating mix of both, because some things were animated and others that could have been easily animated...just weren't. You're very good, but I really think you should consider just fully animating it, or having it not move at all. Please don't be Broken Saints, this could be something great if you just go ahead and animate it. This flash was unnecessarily short for the lack of animation effort.

Hah

Wasn't hilarious, but kept my attention. Enjoyed the VA, though the animation wasn't quite superb. Most of it was barely above "Awesome" level. Though I did like the way that you animated Patrick. Seen worse, seen better. Your average, garden variety parody. 7/10

I normally love your stuff because it's pretty much brimming with originality and then you make this? It looks like you spent 2 hours on it, it's not funny, and it's "Awesome", please leave that to Egoraptor. You were a great Newgrounder without it. Do YOU, I'm sure others who enjoy your pevious work feel the same way.
