Standards vs. Abilities

Do any of you faggots feel like your standards and your abilities are at an equilibrium?

Standards vs. Abilities

No

I wish

It fluctuates over the course of years, but yeah. Being a Libra helps too, but only for that balance :|

I think its unrealistic to ever feel like youre at a perfect balance, its just human nature to never be fully satisfied with your work i think, thats not a bad thing though i think thats what makes you get better. that hunger to meet this unrealistic state of mind where you are at total peace with your ability.

Obviously the answer is 'no', but this is in no way a justification to not work on an important project because you don't feel 'ready'. It's important to accept that your work will never be perfect, embrace your standards but also put them in perspective. Come to terms with the fact that your idea will never be perfectly executed, but that it's still worth trying. And set deadlines! "I'll do it when I'm better" is as good as burying an idea in your grave, to wait for you when you get there yourself. Once you have an idea, set a deadline, commit to it, and get other people involved to help motivate you. Producing substandard work is better than producing nothing. You'll have other ideas when you're a better animator, but if you have an idea this year, make it this year! Ideas come and go, but once a year is gone, it's gone for good, wasted.

nope, never satisfied.
the world needs more art. (as generic as it sounds)

lmao no

have you even SEEN my art?

good heavens no.
