What makes you rewatch a cartoon?

Posted by JazLyte - June 24th, 2012

What typically makes you rewatch an animated short or a movie or an episode?

Dicksus.

What makes you rewatch a cartoon?

Comments

boredom

Mostly how it made me feel. If it either touched me or made me laugh extremely hard or something, I'll watch it again. Maybe multiple times.

nostalgia

Usually I don't unless I don't change the channel with a re-run out of boredom. However, rarely I will go out of my way to watch a praticular cartoon every now and again. The reasons depend: it could have sentimental value, the praticular cartoon could be complex enough to warrant another look, or I simply enjoyed it enough to watch it again.

if it is good quality, awsome, confusing, relly funny , has a good song extra

Originality, compelling emotions, great acting.

like

absence of something better

If it did one of the following: made me laugh, was incredibly badass/violent or a was a real tear jerker.

Good story

or writing, i should say

I re-watch it if I want to show it to my friends.
If it's absolutely hilarious I will watch it again and again to get my spirits up.
Nostalgia may play a role. I recently re-watched" mr. happy face"

when i press the "play button" again on the same movie that i seen before

You little Dickens!

Re-focusing my attention to the story/soundtrack/animation/backrounds/etc.
overall i can say i have watched Finding Nemo over 20 times and i still enjoy it.
get a life, i know.

Remembering something awesome that happened in the toon. Or remembering the music.

I rewatch the YuYu's by Adam Phillips cause it's rocking both sweet music and sick animation.

Also rewatch the "There She Is" series for the same reason.

Not to mention the Egoraptor stuff. Rewatch that for humour.

Some stuff is just legendary so it never gets old.

Hell yeah. Adam's stuff takes ALOT to get old, and even still they're still a pretty fun rewatch.

If it makes me feel like 'lolwhat' watching it. Or, if it's a really good one, like Lucky Day Forever, just for the sake of watching it again.

the animation. to pay more attention of the animation. to learn from it

my pubis feel scratchy, probably too much pubes...

I'll eat some of those for ya

If I know there's lots of easter eggs and secrets and shart like that in the video, I'll rewatch it several times to try and find 'em all. Or, if it's just really funny. Bah

No one cares about Facebook "likes".

To study the animation, usually.

Yeah I find myself sifting through alot of high budget anime fight scenes for this.
