Necropolis Ultimatum
Possibly my biggest animated project yet? This story has been in my head, and in Word format for about 2 years now and now I'm getting tired of thinking about it. It was supposed to be Xenophobe, but Xenophobe took a COMPLETELY different direction halfway through production and is nothing like what it was intended to be. So in relation to this previous project, it'll be a direct sequel but I promise not to make it Xenophobe 2, I'm not referencing anything in the past story at all.

Story-wise, it's pretty much Romeo's revenge on the Christian church for killing Elixir, but not by ordinary means. This movie is the return of my cartoon alter-ego Jazz (Dread-headed lead-role of DevilSlayer, named after my username :P. he's not a black version of Devil May Cry's Dante anymore), he's something of a freelance medic who takes advantage of the church's street fights with Evolve. Though I'm not a Christian anymore, I got some big inspiration from the biblical book of Revalations that religious people will probably catch off the bat. I'm AIMING for the mid-March.

Afterward?
I'm still trying to decide if I want Necropolis to be a big thing with one story told in Episodes, or just a set of random OAVs. Meh, I know I'm splitting hairs, but I guess I really want to tell this story the right way. I've always liked the idea of making about 10 episodes then releasing them monthly after I'm done but I honestly don't think I have the focus or patience for that. Any opinions on that? What types of storylines do you prefer in cartoons, anime, and TV shows? One-shots (Most American cartoons), Story Arcs (90's X-men, Samurai Champloo), One big interweaving tale (FullMetal Alchemist, most anime)?
Yes your opinions are important to me, I'm not one of those flash animators who doesn't read reviews/comments/ opinions, I love talking to viewers so talk away. Regardless, back to animating, MORE RED BULL.

You should have put "W" instead of "ll" on "kill". Anyways, MID-MARCH!? I hope it's long, strong, and...NO! Honestly, if you don't want to release your episodes monthly, that's fine by mua! I have no good storylines I really prefer at the moment, but I bet yours would be better than all other cartoons. Maybe you should make a random appearance of Afro Samurai in it as well. :P

You say you're not referencing anything related to Xenophobe, yet the main plot is Romeo taking revenge on the Church for killing Elixir? Sounds like a HELL OF A BIG reference! Yet that's a good thing. I'm glad it will have some strings attached to it, unlike some of your previous works which, though they do have a story and related themes, are harder to follow unless you put some effort into it.

However, that's not to say that a little effort is bad, it can be more engaging, which leads to my next point; how to tell your story. I don't think their is anything wrong with making a certain number of movies and submitting them monthly. It would always give your fans something to look forward to, but I think you should release them as you make them. I think the way you're telling it now is great. One over-arching plot that affects everyone, with smaller sub-plots for each character / group mixed into each episode. The main plot affects the smaller ones, so we as an audience see how everyone's lives are affected by everything and everyone else's actions. It makes it a large interweaving tale, but each episode could be a "One Shot" in respect to the sub-plots. Each sub-plot is a one shot that is both affected by and contributes to the overall arch, the long interweaving tale. I hope I you get what I'm saying. Turn it into a picture and you'll get it (like a tree or something). I see some of my stories told this way, and your story fits best with this style.

With this said, who gives a shit. It's not about picking as style, it's about what style of storytelling flows naturally with your story. Go with what comes naturally, but STICK WITH IT!!! I think naturally you've gone with something I've just described, and it is and will work out in the end. You just have you discipline yourself to keep with the style that is naturally flowing from your pen...words...whatever.

When I say I don't plan to reference Phobe, I mean nobody will have to see Phobe to understand what's going on, and I don't want them to have to. The cartoons will be different angles of one tale, but in no particular order or anything, hence me NOT using numbers. I think I'm just gonna make random cartoons with cool-sounding names kind of like Krinkels does.
