@Adidaas
The reason is dub actors are bad actors.
Speaking in English doesn't make up for horrible acting.

>Generally dubs are actually rather well done
wtfamireading.exe

Bleh... What a coinkydink. I've actually been watching that on Netflix instant view recently... Don't judge me...

negative. although my senses tell me to tell you to stay in high hopes for the coming years

Still waiting for that picture of your cock, faggot.

you're not getting anything, musty ass

the gag dub of shin-chan is better than the straight sub. fact.

Name an action anime that DOESN'T interrupt the fights with long explanations of contrived esoteric bullshit or unnecessary banter.

Don't worry, I have all year.

Ha, true. But the less, the better. Bleach is the most ridiculous, the whole flow of story is based on in-combat dialogue, which is detestable. Soul eater is halfway between there and Samurai Champloo, which doesn't have alot.

If you're looking for a straight up action anime that doesn't mess around with silly dialogue during action scenes, then check out Sengoku Basara. There's very little in the way of story, and the action is standard shonen fare.

Also, stop watching dubs. It's bad for your ears.

I'm not looking for 100% action anime, I don't like Sengoku Basara that much. I like stuff like Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop that deliver a balanced mix of Action, Drama and Comedy.

PS: Don't give me that, there is no winner in the battle of subs versus dubs. I don't like having to read lines with gibberish in the background unless I'm really enjoying what I'm watching, and there all alot of series that are shitty in Japanese and English. Being able to comprehend dialogue is a plus for me, I get no particular enjoyment from knowing I got the original japanese experience unless it's just amazing for some reason.

how dare you put oney's name before mine

you knew what you were walking into, saddlebags.

@MAYORMCHEESE
Fuck you. Go take a long walk off a short cliff.
I doubt you've ever even seen the original, it's way funnier than that popculture trash dub.

I don't disagree with the pop-culturefication of some anime when it gets brought over here, mainly because typical anime humor barely ever does anything for me subbed or dubbed. I dunno if you've heard of Ghost Stories, but it pretty much got the YouTube treatment when it got translated, and is hilarious. I think many anime cartoons with their unimaginative comedy and laughable stories like Bleach and Soul Eater could stand to be changed a little.

sounds hot

adoooorable

I like the new name better, and plus now I don't have to look at an animated gif of a dude's butt every time I come on here.

O_o The fuck!? That was the best avatar ever

I sure do love high detailed characters that stand around talking for fifteen hours using nothing but mouth loops.

I agree with p. much everything you said about Soul Eater and how gay BlackStar was

also níggers

i disagree with your agreeing with what i say. i love you too marvin

I'm only going off what my sister has me watch. Even the slice of life genre of anime is more interesting.

A lot of their humor is Japanese wordplay, completely lost in the translation.

Err... 'am sorry but I did'nt hunderstand why you change yer name. I prefer too Yungjazz but you must have yer reason so...
Soul eater is good but not in anime (prefer teh comics)

Ah n' teh Accept song against homophobia is "Love child"

I changed it for a few reasons, the main one being that I shared an alias with a rapper who is part of the wack revolution. I don't want to be associated with him. AT ALL. Besides, I hate trying to come off as professional to potential customers with such an igganant sounding name.

Lemme guess, you're YungJazz, aren't you.

what? wtf gave you that idea

I'm not YungJazz, this is

>I don't disagree with the pop-culturefication of some anime when it gets brought over here
Sure, if it's crap to start with. Crayon Shin-chan is a classic though. It's like The Simpsons of Japan... the AdultSwim gagdub takes an actually funny show with cross-culture appeal and remoulds it into crass popculture comedy that even Americans wont get when they rewatch it in a few years time.

I've never seen the original, but if it's as universal as you claim then they should leave it alone. Some aren't however. I still fail to understanf what is so gut-bustingly hilarious to anime writers about somebody's stomach growling when they're hungry.
